The 289 students comprising Tuck’s newest class demonstrate the numerous pathways aspiring leaders take to the MBA program and the diversity of perspectives and experiences to be found among the school’s immersive community.
Sustaining Tuck’s reputation as a top MBA program for female leaders, 49 percent of T’22s are women—a Tuck record that echoes the enthusiasm of the school’s year-long Women at Tuck celebration.
“Creating more opportunities for women in business is imperative to developing wise, decisive leaders who celebrate excellence and impact across gender identities,” says Luke Anthony Peña, executive director of admissions and financial aid. “This milestone reflects the effort of all those in our community who share this conviction, and the recognition by T’22 women that Tuck offers an unparalleled platform for growth as a leader.”
The class of 2022 also attests that Tuck’s mission of developing wise, decisive leaders is one with substantial global reach. First-year students represent 47 different countries by citizenship, the largest number for a single class in school history. Including dual citizens and U.S. permanent residents, 37 percent of the class is international. Among U.S. students, 32 percent represent a U.S. minority.
“In Tuck’s distinctly immersive learning environment, the diverse experiences and global perspectives our students bring are particularly enriching to the community,” Peña says. “Tuck’s mission and values continue to resonate with aspiring leaders across a range of lived experiences, and we are excited to see the many ways T’22s will engage, explore, and embrace these differences over the next two years and beyond.”
The average GMAT score for the class is 720, with GRE averages of 161 verbal and 159 quant. The highly accomplished first-year students come to Tuck from 230 unique employers, and have on average more than five years of professional experience.
