The series proved extremely popular and valuable for the many alumni who presented and attended. Starting this month, that effort will be re-launched as Tuck Alumni Lifelong Learning, an enhanced and more structured suite of learning sessions to keep alumni at the forefront of important developments in the academic and business worlds, and up to date on the latest news about Tuck. Delivered both virtually and in-person, Tuck Alumni Lifelong Learning allows alumni all over the world to experience all the practical knowledge and wisdom Tuck has to offer.
Tuck Alumni Lifelong Learning sessions are organized on four tracks:
- Faculty Briefings. Faculty provide deep dives into current research projects, offer advice on how to address a particular business challenge, and share wisdom from their years of experience about how to think about key business topics.
- Insights in Practice. Members of the Tuck community and invited guests provide valuable commentary and interpretation of current business topics or developments.
- Tuck Insider. Tuck staff and other school leaders provide updates and insights on all the latest news and developments from the school, as well as provide an opportunity for alumni to join in on key experiences that only happen at Tuck, such as the annual Super Bowl lecture and the “last lecture.”
- Career Dispatches. The Alumni Career Services team and featured alumni provide practical tips, case studies, and address the most important considerations for long-term career success.
In the coming months, alumni can expect the following faculty briefings and insider sessions:
- Echo Chambers and the Neuroscience of Social Networks with Adam Kleinbaum, associate professor of strategy and management
- An Update on Global Trade Policies with Emily Blanchard, associate professor of business administration
- Live from Tuck: Super Bowl Advertising Debrief with Kevin Lane Keller, senior associate dean for innovation and growth and the E.B. Osborn Professor of Marketing; and Paul Argenti, professor of corporate communication
- A Virtual Case Study with John Lynch, clinical professor and former N.H. governor
Alumni can also expect the following career dispatches from fellow alumni:
- From Consulting to Strategy with Genelle Bullert Kahan T’11, director of strategy at Sephora; current head of Bain Media Lab
- Balancing Professional and Personal Priorities with Kelsey Stratton T’13, product manager, Google; and Rebecca Adams Renner T’95, associate partner, IBM Global
- Reinventing Yourself with Mariana Garavaglia T’08, chief people officer, Peloton
“This is a way of giving back to alumni who do so much for Tuck in their lifelong relationship with our school,” says Renee Hirschberg, director of Alumni Engagement & Advancement Operations. “We are so pleased to be able to engage with alumni through this programming which is both intellectually interesting and practical.”
Tuck welcomes and looks forward to suggestions on learning topics and sessions from alumni. Get started by viewing upcoming programs or by contacting Tuck Alumni Lifelong Learning with your feedback.
